Skype’s Qik now lets you share your videos to any social network

Skype’s Qik messenger, a tiny app for sending quick video messages, today received an update that lets you easily share your videos outside the app. The update adds a new share menu that lets you use the phone’s built-in share screen to send your videos to whatever service you want, without needing to save them to your phone. Uber’s panic button is now live in India

Uber has been in all kinds of trouble in India in the past year, but the company is looking to change that. It introduced enhanced background checks for drivers a few days ago and has now added two new safety features for passengers. A new SOS button lets passengers taking a trip immediately contact local police. Users will need to tap the button and confirm the call. Yelp gets into the delivery business with Eat24 acquisition

Announced today, Yelp wants to expand Eat24 to work with the one million Yelp restaurants listed on the service. Facebook brings Internet.org app to India

Just three weeks after launching its Internet.org Android app in Ghana, Facebook is bringing the free app to India with nearly 40 services in tow. Facebook has partnered with mobile operator Reliance Communications in India to make the app available in six states: Tamil Nadu, Mahararashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, and Telangana.
