eBay overhauls its iOS and Android apps with unified design and revamped seller dashboard

ebay4
eBay has rolled out a major update for its iOS and Android apps today, which brings the two platforms together in look and feel for the first time. The company says the update makes the app “more browsable” and gives easier access to sections like ‘top deals’, ‘promotions’ and ‘events’. Previously, it wasn’t a very inspiring app if you weren’t on the hunt for a specific item. It should also now be easier to jump between the ‘Activity’, ‘Shop’ and ‘Sell’ tabs. 17027851954_2c4b643f0f_o_Apps
While not particularly well known for data-driven reporting, BuzzFeed found that by looking at the number of tweets linking to an app, it was possible in some cases to detect the health of an app, and whether it was likely to shut down in the near future.
