It’s been a long time coming: Twitter has officially removed the character limit from direct messages. The change, which is rolling out from today, means you can send messages that are as long as you want (up to 10,000 characters at least) via direct messages on any of Twitter’s official apps and third-party apps that update to support the change. Twitter has updated its apps for iOS, Android and Twitter for Mac (!) to allow long direct messages as well as TweetDeck and Twitter for Web.
