Netflix increases HD subscription to $10 for new users

Netflix’s HD streaming subscription is getting a small price hike: it will now cost $9.99 instead of $8.99. Bloomberg reported on the price hike earlier, and the new rate is reflected on Netflix’s sign-up page. Engadget received this statement from Netflix: “To continue adding more TV shows and movies including many Netflix original titles, we are modestly raising the price for some new members in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
